Presentation at annual convention Amsterdam

Integrated design approach crucial in timber projects

At the invitation of Houtbouw Pact MRA and Pakhuis De Zwijger, we held a 40-minute knowledge session on 27 October during the annual Houtbouw XL event. The organisers’ question was how to achieve a high-quality timber building. Various specialists from Hamlet, each drawing on their own area of expertise, explained how such a process works, the importance of all the individual steps and how they form an integrated whole (including structure, fire safety and acoustics), and how all of this ultimately comes together in the details and during the construction of the building.

Particular attention was also paid to the structural design and the importance of using a 3D model rather than the widely used 2D method.

Afterwards, we received requests from housing associations asking if we could also deliver the presentation internally at their organisations. And we can. Please get in touch if there is interest within your organisation too.
