Since 1978, SWK has been issuing warranty certificates to buyers of homes built by contractors affiliated with SWK.

The sharp increase in timber construction in The Netherlands brings with it risks and damage that are relatively new to SWK.

In order to properly assess insurance applications for timber construction projects and provide contractors with substantive feedback that may help them improve their construction plans, SWK has selected Hamlet to act as an assessor.

Hamlet assesses the construction plans on the basis of a protocol drawn up by SWK, which focuses on aspects such as structural design, fire, acoustics and moisture management during construction. For additional expertise in the field of building physics, Hamlet is collaborating with DgmR.
